family friendly and empowering
I wish there were more movies like this - we have weekly movie nights and it is often difficult to find movies to entertain mom, dad, and girls 12 and 13. this was inspiring and uplifting and beautifully done. minimal swearing, zero violence.

A movie to inspire all!
This was a great and truly inspiring movie on many different counts. It helps dispel the ongoing myth that men are inherently stronger or more capable than women (she broke the previous record holder's time by almost two hours!) This myth should no longer hold back more than half of society and I'm glad Trudy's story is finally being celebrated widely in this era. As a father of a daughter, I'm thankful for Trudy Ederle's example of perseverance and will. May all who feel moved to set their mind and heart on a noble goal be as successful and dedicated as Trudy Ederle!

Great movie with beautiful messages
A great and inspiring movie that is well made - great writing, has well done characters, and a story that is interesting the whole way through. It made us cry and laugh out loud! There are a couple uses of a** and a man's bare backside shown once or twice but not in any sort of suggestive sense (and is played off humorously).

Excellent family movie
Absolutely outstanding movie! A woman with grit. Trudy keeps going despite numerous obstacles and sexism. Minimal language- 2 ass and a hell.
