Come for the retro vibes and stay for the spooky mysteries, which are refreshingly free of violence. In Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, the whole gang is back and as loveable as ever, with a few upgrades. First, Scooby himself actually speaks a little, which makes him more fun to get to know as a character. Second, the mystery van has been supped up with all kinds of Inspector Gadget-like upgrades. Each episode consists of a mystery the crew eventually solves using their detective skills, placing importance on brains over brawn. The underlying message here is that "there's a rational explanation behind every mystery." The most enjoyable part of the show is the last few minutes when the deception is explained and the viewers are walked through the hijinks. This one is a perfect fit for kids who are intrigued by mysteries but aren't ready for anything too scary.
