Christie Cronan's Profile
About Christie Cronan
Christie is a proud Korean adoptee and former pediatric nurse turned award-winning content creator. After earning her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida and working at the Florida Hospital for Children for more than six years, she left the medical field in 2011 to stay home with her then-2-year-old son. That's also when she began her blog Raising Whasians, where she chronicles her authentic mom life of raising her two biracial children today, as a champion for diversity and inclusion, a mental health advocate, and a kid at heart. As a lover of family-friendly movies and happily ever afters, Christie has been a Rotten Tomatoes accredited film critic and writer for more than 10 years, always asking whether the title is "safe for kids." Christie has been fortunate enough to watch her own fairy tale dreams come true, attending multiple red carpet events for movies including Cinderella, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog, and interviewing film legends like Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Emma Watson, and Jim Carrey. Christie is currently serving on the board of the Critics Association of Central Florida and is a member of the Hollywood Creative Alliance and the Asian American Journalists Association.
