Face's Music Party
Parent and Kid Reviews
Based on 3 parent reviews
What's the Story?
Nick Jr's "Face" character from the 1990's is back in a musical variety show that puts the party in FACE'S DANCE PARTY. Face, an "O.G. emoji" is an animated expressive set of eyes and a mouth that serves as an emcee and a role model. He interacts with live kids, asking them questions about their musical instruments and their skills. There's lots of live dancing, creative new music, as well as familiar songs that are given a new twist. Look for music by acts like Sia and Koo Koo Kanga Roo.
Is It Any Good?
Lots of variety and smooth segues mingle with excellent music and great choreography in Face's Dance Party. Face (Cedric L. Williams) is funny, upbeat and insightful, asking the kid guests questions when they they showcase their talents on the show. Face introduces topics such as how to make friends in a goofy, yet wise manner. Considering he's an animated character, Face is approachable, funny, and a decent role model.
Suitable for preschoolers who enjoy music, or elementary kids who want to see some great kid choreography, parents won't mind having Face's Dance Party playing in the background while they're making dinner. It's a pleasure to see thoughtful media delivered in such an entertaining fashion.
