The unscripted series combines the conversational banter of a t.v. talk show with content designed to appeal to a generation raised on social media. From demonstrating how to photograph items to resell online, to testing out whether specific dance moves help remove ketchup from a bottle, most of each episode's many segments are what you would expect to see on Instagram or Tik Tok. The co-hosts also manage to engage in some thoughtful discussions about different topics, thus creating some pauses throughout the quick-moving show. But Influenced is also a major promotional vehicle for the cast, each of whom joined the series as already well-known content creators with a mass of followers. Nonetheless, it's decent attempt to interest a younger generation in traditional talk shows by using contemporary media culture.
