What’s It About?
JAMMING ON THE JOB from PBS Kids is a great introduction to the world of professionalism and positive role models. Musicians and hosts, Christina and Andrés, take you on tour of different careers each episode, with a guest from a specific field to explain what they do. When Christina and Andrés learn something new, their friend Boom Box makes a catchy tune so they can remember. The hosts also infuse Spanish words and phrases like - "Que bonito" and "Vamos", throughout the episodes. Episodes are around 18 minutes and with activities to do while you listen. This pod is packed with interesting things to learn for the whole family.
Is It Any Good?
This is a fun and interesting weekly podcast filled with fun facts about interesting jobs and tons of great music. From everything to catchy upbeat songs to learning what a nurse practitioner does, kids of all ages will love Jamming on the Job. If kids can't get enough of this upbeat pod, the show's website offers coloring activities and transcripts for each episode. It's a fun and exciting introduction into finding your passion and doing what you love.
