Melissa Camacho's Profile
About Melissa Camacho
Melissa has been a TV watcher since she was born. When she was 3, she wanted to be Walter Cronkite. She grew up in Puerto Rico and had the chance to watch TV shows from the mainland United States, the Caribbean, and Latin/South America. After earning several degrees and working in media-related offices in the United Nations, the U.S. House of Representatives, and CNN, she went on to earn her Ph.D. in mass media from Michigan State University, where she wrote her dissertation on Law & Order. She currently teaches media theory, writing, and criticism at San Francisco State University in the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Communication Arts. When she's not teaching, writing about, or watching television, she spends her time at the gym and traveling around the world.
