About Stephanie Morgan

Stephanie was born with a love of stories. She was the kind of kid who narrowly avoided telephone poles while reading and walking and always begged to watch just one more show before bed. She's been writing in the parenting space at Modern Parents Messy Kids for more than a decade and realized a lifelong dream in early 2020 when she published her first children’s book, Trains Coming Through: My First Big Book of Trains. Stephanie has passed her love of stories on to her three school-age kids and delights in introducing them to beloved books, movies, and TV shows from her childhood. Her favorite holiday tradition is watching a movie trilogy with the family on New Year's Day, and she strives to find new ways to encourage her children to keep reading all year long. Favorite methods so far include creating a reading scavenger hunt, taking a weekend train trip with her son to explore Powell’s City of Books, and scheduling a "read-in weekend" in the mountains with her daughter.
