The plot is about a drug cartel that grows and sells marijuana (which is illegal in England, where the series takes place), and characters are shown doing heavier drugs, such as cocaine. Characters are also frequently seen drinking alcohol, sometimes to excess, and smoking cigarettes.

Parents need to know that The Gentlemen is an action comedy about an English duke who accidentally ends up involved with a drug cartel. The series is a spin-off of the 2019 film The Gentlemen by Guy Ritchie, who also directs the series. The show features a lot of the hallmarks of Ritchie's work, including gun violence, gambling, and heavy drug use.

What's the Story?
THE GENTLEMEN follows Eddie Halstad (Theo James from season 2 of The White Lotus), who inherits an estate and a dukedom from his late father. When it turns out that a drug cartel has been using the estate for production, Eddie suddenly finds himself immersed in London's criminal underground.
Twenty-five plus years after his debut film, Guy Ritchie still has an immediately recognizable style, and this version of his movie proves that his style is a great fit for streaming. The Gentlemen series feels fast paced and reasonably witty, while providing plenty of twists and fun cameos from supporting actors. It's also light and breezy enough that viewers won't have to strain to keep up. In other words, perfect comfort television.
