What's the Story?
Each page of BESOS FOR BABY: A LITTLE BOOK OF KISSES introduces a living thing that likes to share kisses, or some form of affection. The standard family figures appear first (Mami, Papi, Doggy, Kitty) before other recognizable things like the sun, flowers, and butterflies come in to demonstrate how they, too, give "kisses."
Is It Any Good?
This charming bilingual book is a great way to introduce Spanish words to kids. The simple yet charming text in Besos for Baby manages to be engaging and calming while the illustrations add context and delight to the narrative. The rhymes are easy to follow, and the verses lead to a satisfying conclusion. Sure to be a repeat read for toddlers who'll love to show off their besos, too.
