It's good to help people in the neighborhood. Reading is always an adventure. There's nothing you can't learn from a book. Good communication is what makes teamwork work.

Host is a Black woman. Kids contestants are from diverse backgrounds, with mostly girls and one boy. Both librarians are white women. The neighborly bake sale shows families from diverse communities supporting each other.
Contestants are kind and cheer each other on. Kids demonstrate good communication skills working together, helping each other, and taking turns. Adults are encouraging and offer support when results don't meet expectations. Elmo is a first-time judge and is honest about not knowing what to expect.
Educational Value
a little
Cake decorating encourages creativity. Without specific lessons, kids will also learn examples of sharing and waiting.
Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Cookie Monster's Bake Sale: Back to School (a sibling of the seriers Cookie Monster's Bake Sale) is a game show special in which kids hold a bake sale to support their local libraries. Hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown and Cookie Monster, the show celebrates the importance of libraries for learning and making friends. As you can expect with Cookie Monster, sweet treats like cakes, cupcakes and, of course, cookies, are present in various parts of the program, from set dressing to the final trophy. Despite the element of competition, the emphasis isn't on beating the other team but rather on what everyone gains. Kids are from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate great communication and teamwork. Special appearances by other Sesame Street regulars—like Elmo, Abby, and Big Bird—are a nice bonus for fans of the franchise.
Absolutely horrible for children, only the devil could make such a movie. So much sexual references and said movie keeps using gods name in vain. There is also a lot of swearing and should not be allowed for parents either with this much swearing, as a parent of 35 children. We and my 35 children will go protest to the white house. How could these absolute baffoons fool us with an age rating such as this. ai hope the creators rot in hell as no child nor parent should even glance at this movie. DO NIT WATCH ESPECIALLY WITH KIDS OR ELMO WILL TICKLE YOU!!!!!
What's the Story?
COOKIE MONSTER'S BAKE SALE: BACK TO SCHOOL is a game show special in which kids compete in making sweet treats to sell at a neighborhood bake sale. It's a competition where everybody wins, no matter the results! Cookie Monster and celebrity host Yvette Nicole Brown guide the teams in their mission to get more books and resources to their local libraries.
This show is a treat for kids who enjoy cooking, reading or simply having a good time. Cookie Monster's Bake Sale: Back to School is just as fun as its sibling, Cookie Monster's Bake Sale, with extra laughs and giggles. With a larger group of kids and bigger challenges inspired by classic stories, this special will entertain young ones and maybe even inspire them to try some cooking themselves. If you're concerned about Cookie Monster's appetite for sweets, worry not! Kids are only shown eating treats during the final moments of the bake sale. This special is more about doing something for your community than it is about eating.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about the goal of the bake sale in Cookie Monster's Bake Sale: Back to School. The game sees kids collaborating to get resources for their local libraries. What are some skills that help them succeed in working together?
Books are full of stories that teach us valuable lessons. What type of story do you enjoy the most? Can you think of something you learned from a book?
The competition in the show is fun but it's not the main goal. Talk about how participating in challenges can be fun and the importance of celebrating other's victories.
